Tom joined Argent Trust in 2021 and brings to the company 40 years of experience in the investment management and energy industries. Prior to Argent, Tom was with Frost Bank, where he served as president & chief investment officer of Frost Investment Advisors and as executive vice president & chief investment officer of Frost Wealth Advisors.

During his time at Frost, Tom supervised wealth advisor teams across the company’s regional offices serving high net worth clients. He also created Frost Investment Advisors, launching the Frost fund family of mutual funds, which was formerly included in Barron’s top fund family list.

Tom is often sought out by national news outlets for his expertise and his comments on investing and market conditions have been published in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, US News & World Report, CNBC, Fox News, Bloomberg TV and Radio, Forbes and many others. He is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences in the investment industry and has chaired the Investment Committee of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and was appointed by the AICPA board of directors as a Council-At-Large Member.

A long-time resident of San Antonio, Tom is headquartered in Argent Trust’s San Antonio office but will be serving as Chief Investment Strategist for all of Argent Trust Company, including wholly owned subsidiaries Heritage Trust Company in Oklahoma City and Ponca City, Oklahoma, and the AmeriTrust Companies in Tulsa.

Tom has been active in the professional community as well, serving as past president of the San Antonio Society of CFA Institute and the San Antonio Business & Economic Society.
